Back in 1967, after he had a stroke. Tommy Coen lilted both this tune and Tommy Coen's Reel to Sean Ryan from his hospital bed. Both are popular tunes likely composed during the early 1950s. The Cottage in the Grove was the title used by DeDannan in the late 70s. Composed in G mnor it also circulates in both D and A minor .
