This setting of the Braes of Marr comes from the Inverness County tradition via New Waterford. I learned it from Doug and Margaret MacPhee and also played it frequently with Tommy Basker. They had all heard it from Mary Hughie MacDonald. Other four part settings are found in The Dungreen Collection.

A three turn setting from Mike MacDougall was recently Recorded by Jerry Holland on his Crystal Clear CD. That setting is in The Second Collection.

Lately I've been experimenting with a composite setting (P.S.C.)
