from Bill Lamey 78
This Scottish strathspey first appeared in a multi-part setting in about 1780 in Robert Ross's Collection. The four part setting in the Athole Collection is a possible inspiration for the modern Irish reel variant. The original two part setting was played by Mary Hughie MacDonald and is found in the Skye Collection. This setting above is transcribed from a 78 disc by Bill Lamey & Joe MacLean.
