Above is a traditional setting of a reel I learned in the kitchen of Johnny Wilmot. He had learned it 50 years ealier from his uncle Joe Confiant.

Alex Gillis and The Inverness Serenaders recorded a medley of two separate pipe tunes which included many similarities. On the 78 disc, two titles were given The Red Fiddle and Dancing of the Fingers. The 2nd tune contained only the B and C parts of the above. Note, there is a 6 part pipe tune known as the Dancing of the Fingers (Henderson Tutor, c. 1900) that has 2 related bars, but most of the structure is quite different.
