John Allan Cameron (Here Comes John Allan Cameron)

Although the re-release of the 1968 LP, Here Comes John Allan Cameron called this traditional strathspey Dr. MacDonald's Compliments to J. Scott Skinner it is quite different from that tune (see The Skye Collection). Perhaps John Allan learned a nameless traditional tune from the aural tradition and the title given on his CD was added later. Regardless, it does seem related to two tunes from Skye Collection (including Dr. MacDonald's Compliments) and as such, for The Cape Breton Scottish Collection I felt it appropriate to come up with a new title paying hommage to both of the strathspeys which it loosely reflects.
