This popular reel cames from Larrry Redican, a fiddler originally from Ireland who spent much of his life in NYC. Before he left Ireland he was a student of Frank O'Higgins. Originally written in F, Carl MacKenzie plays it in that key. His nephews in The Barra MacNeills learned it from Robert Stubbert who had learned it in C from a concertina player.
