Although Dave supplied the first two turns in Allister MacGillivary's book The Cape Breton Fiddler (1981), he now thinks of it as a 4 part structure hence the title and my arrangement. On her CD, Andrea plays turns 3 and 4 only, using the title New Year's Day. The title New Years's Day usually belongs to another, old style strathspey (see Simon Fraser Collection etc.) Z:Paul Stewart Cranford (P.S.C.), L:1/8 M:C| Q:288 K:Ador B|A>Bc>d e2 (e/f/g)|dA AB|c>AB>G A/A/A gB A2 A:| ||f|g>abgeA {D}G2 G>f|g>abgeB A2 (3(efg)| a>fg>e f>de>c|BA G>ABAB>G A/A/A eB A2 A|| |:B|A>Bc>B A2 BBc>d e>dcB A/A/A A:| ||z|a>geA G>ABgedBgeA G>ABABGE>e|dB A/A/A A|] X:11 T:The Train to Glasgow R:march C:Andrea Beaton D:Andrea Beaton, The Tap Session Z:Paul Stewart Cranford (P.S.C.), L:1/8 M:C| Q:288 K:E efefeff>e d>fbf|e2 b2 g>feGBf| e2 b2 g>feGBff>e d>fbfeff>e d>fb
