The Barra MacNeils & The Black Family   The melody above is arranged like this in Jerry Holland, The Second Collection. Jerry learned it in the late '70s when he was backing up singers Allister MacGillivray, Tommy Makem and Liam Clancy. Tommy sang a song called I held a Lady which was set to this old traditional tune The mp3 gives the melody as performed on The Celtic Colours Sessions. (on the recording it is in a different key - which suits the voices of The Black Family for Tarry Flynn, a song which they sing to the same air).
