Digitally recorded in 1990 this album catches Jerry during one of
the most creative eras of his career. Most of the tunes appear in
Holland's Collection of Fiddle Tunes. Accompaniment by John
Morris Rankin and Dave MacIsaac
This CD from Jerry Holland is a welcome treat indeed. Both Jerry and Dougie have long recording and performance histories. On Parlor Music we have relaxed older music played at home by two master musicians.
Joe Peter MacLean was raised in a musical Cape Breton houshold. His first language was Gaelic. During childhood he was surrounded by Gaelic singers, storytellers and fiddlers. This is Joe's first recording. The repertoire is diverse - from ancient song melodies to modern book tunes.
For Each New Day is Northside fiddler Jennifer
Roland's third CD. It is an energetic mixture of traditional and
original material produced by multi-instrumentalist Allie Bennett. A
versatile player, Jennifer's renditions of Irish, Scottish, Maritime,
Cape Breton and her own tunes are lively and sweet with a maturity
that belies her youth.
